No place weaves together the arts and the great outdoors like Hambidge. And there is no place better to be when the leaves are changing than their Great ARTdoors Festival in North Georgia. The Festival is this Saturday, October 13, 10AM-5PM.Here is a fun opportunity to do some shopping for the holidays with Lainey who will present the Elaina Designs jewelry in a tent on the festival grounds. With each sale we are donating a percentage to support the Hambidge Artist Residency Program. As working artists ourselves, we understand the vital service that Hambidge provides by offering retreats to artists in any medium. This a rare chance to explore their art in an affordable setting outside the grind of daily life. You might even consider an application for yourself one day; so take a beautiful drive, drop by to say “hi” and support a great cause.

Hambidge Center is in Rabun Gap, Georgia. It is located on Betty’s Creek Road, 3.5 miles from Highway 441, just outside the town of Dillard.Festival Highlights include:

This is the only time during the year when full access is granted to the protected creative sanctuary and artist studios. The 600-acre property, lovingly cared for by  Hambidge since 1934, is home to seven miles of hiking trails, waterfalls, wildflowers, a swimming hole, and a number of historic structures including a working 67 year-old water-powered gristmill.
