Family of Artists Show, Oct. 26 & 27

 In Shows and Events
This weekend, Aalia and I celebrate our friendship, the craft that brought us together and the artistic support and inspiration we find in those closest to us.Lainey’s sister, Maria Artemis, is a nationally known public artist creating site integrated sculptural work. Maria’s husband, Don Lewis, is a woodworker crafting fine furniture and home accents. Aalia’s mother, Sabiha Mujtaba, is also a woodworker creating one-of-a-kind, often culturally inspired furniture pieces for clients all over the country. For the first time, the five of us exhibit together in the Family of Artists Show this weekend at 675 Drewry Street, beside the Atlanta Beltline. Saturday, 11AM-5PM & Sunday 12-4PM, drop by, drink something sparkly, meet the artists, try on (and maybe buy?!) some jewelry or furniture then take a lovely autumn stroll on the Beltline. This weekend promises perfect weather and is a great excuse for an urban excursion into our fair city.

Here are some more pictures of Sabiha & Aalia’s work that will be on view this weekend:
