The Elaina Designs jewels are back in my possession after a year long display at Annie Kaill’s Gallery in Juneau, Alaska. Seeing Fareed’s skillful hand in many of these pieces stirs memories of hours spent with him at the bench. I miss him and I’ve struggled to find creative and technically skilled goldsmiths willing to take on my designs. Add the skyrocketing price of gold, and much of the older work cannot be replaced.
